The Special Education Aide is to support the classroom teacher in meeting the needs of all students identified with disabilities. Dependent upon assignment, this may be working directly in a special education classroom, working in a general education classroom or environment, supervision duties, and/or working one-on-one with a student or small group of students.

Job Requirements include having an understanding of students with varying academic, behavioral and social needs, the ability to work in a team environment, and have positive communication skills. 

Applicant must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and must pass the paraprofessional basic competency test or have a minimum of two years associates degree.
